Fifteen Arkansas teachers were honored for excellence in economic and personal finance teaching, including a Pine Bluff teacher.
Shelina Warren, a teacher at the Scoggins-May-Hall Gifted and Talented Center at Pine Bluff School District, was honored for her project, “My Local Economic Trivia League.”
Warren received a Bessie B. Moore award, presented to educators for their innovative, original classroom projects during the 2015-16 school year. Winners also received a cash award.
The November gala at the Clinton Presidential Center was hosted by Economics Arkansas, a non-profit educational organization that promotes economic and personal finance literacy among Arkansas PreK-12 students.
