Several “Showing Your Stripes” awards were presented to Pine Bluff School District students, staff and supporters earlier this week at a board meeting.

The district Health Services Department was awarded for providing vision screening to all graduating seniors of Pine Bluff High School. Forrest Park/Greenville Pre-K Principal Marcenia Peoples was honored for providing outstanding leadership and support to the students and staff at the school.

Jariah Williams was honored for being an eighth-grade ambassador and leading an EAST project along with having superb academics. Kourt Bradley was awarded for demonstrating leadership skills as a standout student in the Pine Bluff Junior High School STAR Academy. Madison Menendez was recognized for providing outstanding leadership and service as an office monitor for the junior high students and staff.

X’Zaeium Sims was awarded for providing outstanding leadership and support for the 11th-grade student body.

Dr. Jamecia Joshua, Dr. Stanley Paul, Dr. Charity Smith-Allen and Mattie Collins were honored for providing ACT support to Pine Bluff High School students.

“Stripes” refers to self-discipline, trustworthiness, respect, innovation, patience, empathy and synergy.
