PB schools offering free meals to all students

The Pine Bluff School District will offer free meals to all students at all schools participating in the National School Lunch Program or School Breakfast Program, unless otherwise notified.

Offering free meals to all students is made possible through the U.S. Department of Agriculture Special Assistance Certification and Reimbursement Community Eligibility Provision. Effective since Sept. 24, the provision will be used during the 2015-2016 school year.

Federal reimbursement for meals is based on the Identified Student Percentage established by the district. The information used to establish the ISP will be made available only to state and federal officials for review.

All adults, visitors, teachers, support staff members, and administrators of the district must pay the full cost of the meal which is $1.75 for breakfast and $3.50 for lunch.
