Pine Bluff School District is hosting college preparatory events.
“PBHS College Fair 2K18” will be held Thursday March 29, in Pine Bluff High School Cafeteria. Various universities, colleges and trade schools in Arkansas will be represented.
“Our students at the high school and junior high levels need to see that they have some of the options right here at home in the Natural State,” according to a news release.
Students will be given an index card to take to the different college booths at the event. At the booth, a representative will place a sticker on the index card. Students have to have the index card in order to get the bonus points from the participating teachers. There must be seven or more stickers and their name on the card to get the bonus points.
Also, Jack Robey Junior High School’s AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) students are participating in a Virtual College Tour with more than 100 colleges and universities from across the nation.
To prepare for day, they spent time researching and creating questions for their chats with college representatives, according to the news release.
