A pickup truck belonging to the Pine Bluff School District was involved in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon and the driver of the truck was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign.
According to a police report, Curlee Harrison, 62, of Pine Bluff was at the stop sign facing west on West 24th Avenue and Linden Street when the 2004 Dodge Ram truck he was driving collided with a 2006 Dodge Charger driven by Carol Staten, 48, of Pine Bluff that was traveling south on Linden Street at the time.
Two witnesses told Officer Joe Anderson that the truck proceeded through the stop sign and struck the other vehicle.
Both Harrison and Staten were transported to Jefferson Regional Medical Center for what the accident report said were possible injuries.
Damage to the truck owned by the school district was estimated at $4,500 and damage to the car was also estimated at $4,500.
