Inaugural events for Pine Bluff Mayor-Elect Shirley Moorehead Washington will begin with the swearing-in ceremony at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, at the Pine Bluff Convention Center Auditorium.
A reception will follow the ceremony at the convention center.
The public is invited to attend event where newly elected members of the Pine Bluff City Council will also be sworn in, according to a news release.
Ward 1 Alderman Lloyd Holcomb Jr. was re-elected to the council. New council members are Win Trafford Jr. of Ward 2; Donald Hatchett of Ward 3; and Bruce Lockett of Ward 4. Details: Lanette Frazier, 870-575-3619.
