A Pine Bluff man was taken Thursday evening to Jefferson Regional Medical Center after he was shot multiple times while riding in a vehicle.
According to a police report, Corey D. Carter, 27, said he was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Kelin Key, 25, when a vehicle approached them at about 6:40 p.m. on Blake Street near West 17th Avenue. Carter said the driver of the other vehicle said something before firing multiple shots and hitting Carter multiple times.
The report from Officer Terrance Anderson stated that Key pulled into the parking lot of a convenience store at Hutchinson Street and the Martha Mitchell Expressway and when Anderson arrived, he saw that Carter was bleeding from the leg, back and elbow.
No suspects were identified in the report and no description of the other vehicle was listed.
