A Pine Bluff man is accused of punching and pointing a gun at a woman during an altercation Friday.
Blair Brown, 20, is facing charges of aggravated assault on a family or household member. Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth ruled Wednesday that prosecutors have probable cause to charge him in connection with the alleged crime and set a $10,000 cash-only bond.
According to an affidavit from Pine Bluff Police Department Detective Roger Gray, police were called at 8:40 p.m. Friday to an apartment in the 1100 block of East 26th Avenue, where they spoke to the woman, who said that Brown took her house keys and cell phone and pointed a gun at her stomach.
In a subsequent interview, Gray reported that the woman also said that Brown punched her and pointed a pistol at her and told her to shut up when she started to cry. She told police that she called a friend and Brown knocked the phone out of her hand. She left and called police from another apartment.
When questioned by police, Brown allegedly said that there had been an altercation, but that he had not pointed a gun at the woman.
