The 2025-2026 Pine Bluff Junior High Family, Career and Community Leaders of America Chapter officers have been named. They are President Leyah Jackson, Secretary Vera Langel, Vice President Aniya Green and Vice President of Community Service Nzion Brasfield. Their adviser is Bethel Byrd.
The PBJH FCCLA Chapter membership has expanded, and students are already making a difference both inside and outside the classroom, according to a news release.
FCCLA is a national student organization that teaches leadership, teamwork and life skills through family and consumer sciences education. Members learn how to strengthen families, serve their communities and prepare for future careers.
This year, PBJH members attended the Arkansas State Fair, gaining real-world exposure to family and consumer sciences, and taught a lesson on kindness to a class. The group has recently been preparing to compete in the Region 4 STAR Events competition, where they’ll showcase their leadership, creativity and service skills.
The chapter also is collecting items to support children in need. Their dedication helped PBJH earn recognition last year as an Arkansas FCCLA Gold Star Chapter, one of the state’s top honors for excellence in leadership and community involvement.
