State Rep. Henry “Hank” Wilkins IV, educators and community members will announce a partnership Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Pine Bluff High School near the McGeorge Building and flag pole.
“The purpose is to address the issues of school discipline, student achievement, disproportionate contact with the justice system, and ways to address these issues so that all students have a better opportunity for a good and positive future,” Wilkins said in a press release. “Therefore, teachers, staff and administration can maximize their effectiveness in motivating, encouraging and educating students for positive outcomes.”
Wilkins, Pine Bluff Superintendent Linda Watson, PBHS principal, members of St. James United Methodist Church, where Wilkins is pastor, and others will announce details of the partnership.
