Applications by four Southeast Arkansas men who were seeking to have their prison sentences commuted were rejected by the Arkansas Parole Board during a meeting July 22.
The four were among 31 current prison inmates whose applications were determined to be without merit by the board.
The four from Southeast Arkansas, the county or counties of conviction and the crimes convicted of were as follows:
• Myron Anderson, Ashley County, two counts manufacture, delivery or possession of a controlled substance.
• Michael Dancy, Drew County, manslaughter, Chicot County, terroristic act probation revocation.
• Kirk Johnson, Jefferson County, two counts criminal attempt manufacture, delivery or possession of a controlled substance probation revocation, fraud, etc., drug paraphernalia probation revocation.
• Charles Sims, Arkansas County, first-degree murder, first-degree battery, kidnapping.
