Acting on a tip Thursday morning that a parole absconder from Ft. Smith was in Pine Bluff, Arkansas State Police undercover agents and a trooper arrested the man, who had previously been convicted of five counts attempted first-degree murder.
William B. Snyder, 43, was found hiding in an attic at a house on Pennsylvania Street and taken into custody without incident, State Police Lt. David Sims said Thursday morning.
He said the undercover agents had been looking for Snyder and after receiving the tip. They went to the house, along with Trooper First-Class Dustin Thompson, at about 7:30 a.m. and located Snyder.
Sims said that Snyder was taken back to Ft. Smith after the arrest and will be held there on the parole violation.
