A Stop the Violence Block Party is being planned for 2–6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, on Hill Street (next to L.A. “Prexy” Davis Drive.) The street will be blocked off for this event), according to a news release from host Artie Hamlett, a senior at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
The free special event will showcase positive talent featuring students at UAPB, Hamlett said in a news release. The event will also feature a DJ and special guests from Pine Bluff and the state of Arkansas. There will also be door prizes, raffles, and games for children and adults.
The block party will also include food trucks, UAPB Marching Band, Novel T’s Custom Screen-printing, Pine Bluff Police Department and Pine Bluff Fire and Emergency Services Department.
