Amid violence, crime, inflation, economic concerns, and a mix of multiple issues coupled with the divides ranging from politics to religion, we will host the 14th annual Prayer Rally on Saturday, Aug. 2, beginning at 6 a.m. in the city of Pine Bluff, Ark.
The prayer rally will be held on the lawn of the Pine Bluff Civic Center, located at 200 E. Eighth Ave. on the steps near the flag pole of the civic center.
As students prepare for back to school, prayer continues to be the response and supreme focus to transform the culture and community back to God.
The Lord said to us in II Timothy 3:1, which states: “but know this, that in the last days perilous times will come.” This verse, part of a prophecy by the Apostle Paul, describes a period characterized by difficult, stressful, and dangerous conditions. God is calling all His team members to pray.
Intercessors amidst the prayer rally will be Evangelist Dr. Gail Stith, Minister John Nicholson, Pastor Jesse Turner, Bishop Shirley Sanders, Rev. Dale McCollum, Apostle Robbie Henry, Overseer Beverly Murray, and other leaders among the community. Recording Gospel Artist Cachet will be on hand for praise and worship.

God asks for his people to come together and pray for the needs of our town if we are going to see change.
We must realize that there is power in prayer. This is the only way God can get involved in the affairs of His Creation is that we pray. He tells us to pray without ceasing.
According to II Chronicles 7:14, He tells us what we must do: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
The plan God has for this city is a great one. He needs the body of Christ to come together on one accord and pray for various areas of concerns and trust that He will move on our behalf. The saints of God used to say, “Don’t stop praying, the Lord is nigh (near) and He will hear your cry.”
We must believe what the Lord has promised for this city and know that His Word is true. He will answer you, so do not stop praying! We will see change during this 14th year that will uplift and make Pine Bluff a better representation of a Godly community.
We want Pine Bluff to be known all over the world as being that example of what God will do — if there are people who stand and pray for the conditions of our city. Our name in the city, state, and the world will represent the power of our God.
Even as Queen Esther had an assignment in her day to save her people, our assignment is to pray for
“such a time as this” to see the Glory of God revealed in this city.
A shift has occurred in the world, a shift like never before in government and all over the world. It is going to take prayer to win this battle. Our government does not have the answer. Prayer is key for change for the Glory of God.
Every one is welcome to come and help us pray during this 14th annual prayer rally for our city, state and nation. We are better together.
