Nation divided

May 25, 2020, George Floyd was killed by police. There is an article dated June 19, 2020, on the internet that states “The Associated Press style is now to capitalize Black in a racial, ethnic or cultural sense…” The word “white” does not get capitalized. Less than one month after Floyd’s death, this decision was made by The Associated Press. But has anyone ever wondered just who the Associated Press is?
It is an anonymous entity that could never be pinned down to just one person, but in reality, this idea sprang from the brain of one individual who has enough money power to influence a world wide news organization. But for what purpose? Seems to me like it’s just a pat on the back to every African American, as though to say, like to a small child, “There, there now. Don’t cry and I’ll give you an ice cream cone and everything will be all right;” talking down to a nation of people, as though they don’t have sense enough to know what the AP is doing.
I believe in equal rights — to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness — for all people, but how is this decision “by the AP” intended to help the African American population?

Because George Floyd, an African American man, was killed by white policemen, the white population has been sent to the cloakroom and will not be permitted to go outside to play at recess.
And that is just how preposterous this unarguably racist idea by “The Associated Press” really is. I doubt very seriously if it makes just one African American feel any better. It appears to me to be nothing less than an effort to further divide our nation.
Someone hates America and is doing his best with all of his riches, to bring us to our knees.
This needed to be said so I have volunteered — for all Americans. It doesn’t matter what color our skin is. What matters is, Christ in our hearts or not.

Trump woes

What follows is my personal opinion. I have been reading of the poor abused farmers lately. It seems the markets for their crops have been damaged again by Trump. My checking shows that 79% of farmers voted for him. He’s a pathological liar, and they knew that at the time!
The reports show that 83% of the white evangelicals voted for Trump who is shutting down USAID and any foreign aid dispensed through them. Thousands of children are now starving that farm produce raised here used to feed. Way to go hypocrites.
Trump is forbidding truthful history of America to be taught using any federal funds. White folks wrote that history the way they wanted it taught. Trump and his cabal couldn’t care less what American Indians consider to be genocide committed against them.
Hundreds of years of enslaved Black folks? Careful what you say in class about that. Some delicate white kids feelings might be hurt! A complete cabinet of the least competent candidates imaginable were approved by the most gutless, integrity deprived, Trump servile specimens that the electorate were offered.
Trump is running rampant over the rights and duties of the Congress. Few of the repulsive specimens have the decency to insist that the Constitution they each swore to uphold will be followed. Trump continues to degrade and disparage our military at all levels, both active and veterans. Congress, which has three Arkansas veterans hasn’t the courage or integrity to put a hard and fast stop to that. As Liz Cheney said, “Trump, whom you adore and cater to, will die. But your dishonor will endure forever on the pages of history.”
