Be responsible

This is for all of you who walk your dogs by my house. … I know they need exercise, but please have them do their business at your house….do you think I like to walk in your dog’s mess when I mow my yard?
Responsible dog owners pick up after their pet and dispose of it properly … in many towns and cities they have an ordinance that dog owners must pick up after their dog. Unfortunately, Stuttgart has no such ordinance to our shame. Currently, there are four such piles in my yard which I shall have to look out for while mowing if I am to avoid walking through it.
Of course, the type of person who lets their dog poop wherever is not the type of person who reads the paper or even subscribes to one so this is a moot point anyway … but it makes me feel better to vent, I guess … oh, and also, I work hard on my flower beds and letting your dog water them doesn’t help, either.
