OPINION | LETTER: Acknowledge Black accomplishments

wp_1701

Editor, The Commercial,

My opinion follows: The MLK Commission is under the Arkansas Department of Education. I wonder just who is in charge of it? Why (commission director DuShun) Scarborough hasn’t, to my knowledge, publicly objected to Trump’s deletion from public records of so many Black accomplishments? Has Empress Sarah, or her Florida import, issued restrictions?

We have a senator up for re-election. When you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas. Birds of a feather flock together. This senator boasts of being backed by an autocratic, fabulist narcissist who has no respect for our Constitution, our courts, or our justice system generally. Bloviations and slurs against the Supreme Court for their — as he views it — disloyalty to him were broadcast by him nationwide!

The Senator is also proud that our governor backs him too. She’s a politician who lied for Trump, to us, and appoints folks to government jobs based on loyalty — whether or not they’re capable and qualified.

The above stated is all the reason intelligent folk should need not to vote for him and more of the chaos we now have. His Harvard education doesn’t appear to have improved his intellect. Old timers say, ‘He’s anybody’s dog that will hunt with him,’ whether the company he keeps has a history of decency, integrity, honesty or common sense.

We presently have a surfeit of ‘Trump Servants’ and too few who are keeping their oath to first obey our Constitution. If the Trump Agenda comes first with them — they don’t belong there!
