The Muses Project of Hot Springs returns to Pine Bluff with its fall concert presentation of Opera Classics Mix: Sing to Love “best of” concert at 7 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 S. Main St.
Sponsored by The Pine Bluff Commercial and Simmons Bank, this concert is free and open to the public.
“This concert is 90 minutes of timeless classical music that will transport you to worlds that captivate your heart and mind, transcending time and cultural boundaries,” according to a news release.
Familiar commercials have sold products, and movie soundtracks have incorporated this genre of musical masterpieces to help enhance their stories.
“The Muses troupe of world-class touring professional opera singers, instrumentalists and young resident artists, will delight your fancy with mesmerizing melodies, enchanting harmonies, drama, beauty, romance and even tear-jerking moments with spectacular performances of beloved musical selections from some of the world’s greatest operas: La Boheme, Carmen, La Traviata, and Madame Butterfly, including contemporary favorites from Les Mis, Phantom of the Opera, Secret Garden, and many more,” according to the release.
