An 18-wheeler rolled over Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 530, sending the driver to the hospital and blocking a part of the interstate.
State Police Lt. David Sims said the accident occurred on the northbound side of the interstate near the 37 mile marker. Sims said the truck was pulling a flat-bed trailer but he did not know what the cargo was. Trooper Justin Pool said there were no hazardous materials involved.
Pool said the accident occurred at about 2:55 p.m. when a pick-up truck struck the 18-wheeler. Both were going north at the time of the accident. The driver of the 18-wheeler was the only person injured.
The right-hand lane was closed after the accident, but had reopened by 5 p.m.
