An estimated $194,600 in suspected marijuana and powder cocaine was seized and one person was arrested when police vice and narcotics officers served a search warrant Thursday in central Pine Bluff.
At a press conference Friday, Pine Bluff Police Department spokesman Lt. David De Foor said investigators seized 30.8 pounds of suspected marijuana, including three growing plants, and 2.2 pounds of suspected power cocaine when they served the warrant at 716 W. 24th Ave., just after 3 p.m.
Also seized were a semi-automatic shotgun, an SKS rifle and drug-related paraphernalia, De Foor said.
Police arrested Alan Foots, 53, who was inside the house at the time, and he was taken to the adult detention center, where he is being held on probable cause of possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, pending a court hearing.
De Foor said he was not at liberty to talk about the circumstances that led to the investigation because it is still classified as active and because other arrests are possible.

“This was just good effort on the side of the vice and narcotics unit,” De Foor said. “This was just good investigation to try and stop getting the lower-level guys.
“As with all drug investigations, you try and get above and below what you got,” De Foor said.
According to police records, Foots had no prior convictions or pending charges.
The suspected drugs will be held as evidence and sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for analysis.
