Omega Psi Phi plans achievement celebration

The Tau Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity will celebrate the founding of the fraternity by honoring the achievements of two area residents.

Friday, Nov. 18 — from 8 p.m. to midnight, a Purple and Gold Gala will be held at the Pine Bluff Convention Center. Dance music and hors d’oeuvres with a cash bar will be available.

Saturday, Nov. 19 — at 7 p.m., a banquet will be held at the Masonic Grand Lodge. The guest speaker will be Mayor-elect Shirley Washington. Louis Moss will be honored for his commitment to helping the youth of Pine Bluff. Ryan Watley, a local professor, will be honored for his dedication and commitment to improving the quality of life for area residents.

Tickets to each event are $25 per person or $40 for both and may be purchased from members of Tau Phi Chapter or by calling Glenn Freeman at 870-247-3960 or Quranner Cotledge at 870-879-5167.
