Note of gratitude

Editor, The Commercial:

Words cannot begin to express the overwhelming gratitude we feel for the outpouring of love and support we have received during this incredibly difficult time. In the wake of our profound loss, your kindness, support and love have been a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness.

From the countless cards, flowers and thoughtful gifts to the heartfelt condolences and personal stories shared, we have felt the love and support emanating from every corner of our lives. The constant presence of friends and family, whether it was in person, through texts, phone calls or social media messages, has been a testament to the beautiful community we are all a part of. We are eternally grateful for the love you have shown us during this time, and we will carry it with us always.

Special thanks to John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital, Brown Funeral Home, Apostle Patrick L. Lockett and New Community Baptist Church, Rev. Robert L. Handley and Mount Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, Sheriff Lafayette Woods Jr. and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Pine Bluff Ward 1 Alderwoman LaTisha Brunson, Central High School Class of 1963 – Lake Village, Ark., the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Byron Tate of the Pine Bluff Commercial, Gary Burton Jr. of KARK 4 News and the community of Pine Bluff.

Once again, from the depths of our hearts, thank you. Thank you for being there for us, for loving us and for showing us that we are never truly alone.

With love and gratitude,
