The Rev. Jesse C. Turner, executive director of Pine Bluff Interested Citizens for Voter Registration, Inc., will participate in a Non-Violence to No Violence event from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the Central High School Visitor Center at Little Rock.
Featured speakers include Terrence Roberts, a member of the Little Rock Nine, and Mary Liuzzo Lilleboe, daughter of Viola Liuzzo, according to a news release.
“Pine Bluff NAFJ PEN OR PENCIL in partnership with the U.S. Department of the Interior National Parks Service has obtained bus transportation to carry 40 youth and chaperones from Pine Bluff to this free program in Little Rock,” according to the release.
“If you have youth you want to attend, please call 870-730-1131 for free transportation and permission slip,” according to the Pine Bluff Interested Citizens for Voter Registration Inc., Pine Bluff National TEN POINT Pen or Pencil Expansion. “The bus will leave the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Center, 211 W. Third Ave. at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25.”
The bus will return at approximately 8 p.m.
