No suspects identified in Wednesday night robbery

No suspects have been identified as police continue their investigation into the Wednesday night robbery of a convenience store on South Olive Street.

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the Big Red at 3319 S. Olive St., according to a police report.

A clerk at the store said two men came into the business at approximately 9:57 p.m., and robbed her at gunpoint.

According to the report, one of the men was wearing a gray hoodie with darker gray stripes, black pants and a white mask covering his face while the other man was wearing black pants, a black shirt with a white thermal shirt under it and red and white shoes.

The man wearing all black pointed a dark-colored gun at the clerk and demanded money, and after taking cash, left the store running east.

The robbery is the latest in a series of robberies at dollar stores and convenience stores in the past few weeks. Police have not said if they are connected, but have instructed officers to keep an eye on businesses in their assigned zones.

Anyone with information abut the suspects should contact the Detective Division at 730-2090. All calls will be kept confidential.
