A shell casing was located by Pine Bluff police at 13th Avenue and Elm Street, where there were reports that shots had been fired Thursday afternoon, but no victim could be found.
Someone in the area called police about the shots at about 4:15 p.m., but police did not find a victim, blood or any evidence someone had been hit, PBPD spokesman Capt. Greg Shapiro said.
No one went to the emergency room with gunshot wounds. People at the scene told police they did not witness the shooting.
While interviewing people in the area, police ran name checks on two men and discovered they had outstanding warrants for misdemeanor offenses. They were taken into custody at the scene, Shapiro said.
