Sanders House and Structure Moving Inc. employees work Tuesday to raise a house at 2917 Riverside Drive that was affected during the Arkansas River flooding in the spring.
Wayne Borecky is the owner of the house. He said his house was previously raised by 32 inches above the ground. Yet the Arkansas River flooded in spring 2015 and resulted in 17 inches of water entering his house. Borecky said that after the raising project is finished, his house will average 12 feet above the ground and he joked about needing a zip line to enter it. (Pine Bluff Commercial/David Hutter)
