Nature center slates fishing, various events

The Delta Rivers Nature Center at Regional Park will host a free trout fishing seminar at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7. Participants are invited to come and learn about where and how to catch trout in Southeast Arkansas.

“Ponds in the area are stocked with trout during the winter so you have the opportunity to catch something different,” a spokesman said. “You will learn about what kind of bait to use (natural and artificial) where you can fish and more.”

There will be door prizes and everyone will receive a basic trout fishing kit. After the seminar, participants may make their own trout fishing lures.
