The National Alliance of Faith and Justice (NAFJ) is celebrating January as National Mentoring Month, according to a news release from Pine Bluff Interested Citizens for Voter Registration Inc. (PBICVR.)
PBICVR is Arkansas’ Lead National Alliance of Faith and Justice Pen or Pencil affiliate.
NAFJ and its affiliates and partners throughout the country are recognizing National Mentoring Month by launching activities aimed at expanding quality mentoring opportunities for youth, according to the release.
“To support these aims and generate public awareness for mentoring as a whole, particularly those participating in the PEN OR PENCIL™ National Mentoring Initiative, NAFJ will observe its Annual Justice Sunday™ Weekend National Continuum, encompassing activities occurring on the weekend of Jan. 20, 2019,” according to the release.
More mentors are needed, according to the release.
