The Arkansas Federation of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees will hold its annual convention Thursday and Friday at the Pine Bluff Country Club.
Pine Bluff Mayor Debe Hollingsworth will provide the official welcome.
The keynote speaker Thursday evening will be University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries Professor Steve Lochmann.
Lochmann will discuss whether certain species of fish are “Trash or Treasure.”
Lochmann teaches ichthyology, fisheries management and fish ecology. His lab has been working on the use of hatchery fish for stock enhancement since 1998, paying particular attention to the enhancement of largemouth bass and crappie populations here in Arkansas.
