The Pine Bluff NAACP Branch will hold its membership meeting via Zoom 6 p.m. Thursday. Participants must have the Zoom link to join the meeting. Those who want to attend may email pbnaacp@yahoo.com for the link, according to a news release.
The agenda includes the report of the Nominating Committee and the acceptance of nominations from the floor for the following positions: president, first vice president, second vice president, third vice president, secretary, assistant secretary, treasurer, assistant treasurer and at-large committee members (10-24 positions.)
To be eligible for the positions, the candidates must live or work within the jurisdiction of the Pine Bluff NAACP Branch and have been members in good standing of the branch by May 1 of this year.
Members who are interested in being nominated from the floor must submit a candidate consent form (with three signatures of members in good standing) to the Nominating Committee Chairman Piccola Washington, by noon Thursday. Also on the agenda is the election of the Election Supervisory Committee (five members). The branch election will be held on Nov. 12. The members will also hear a report on the NAACP State and National Conventions.
