My prayer for Pine Bluff

God speaks to us concerning prayer. In II Chronicles 7:14, God states, If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked way; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

In “One Black Man’s View,” it’s prayer time Pine Bluff. One of Webster’s definitions of prayer is a humble request, as to God. Webster’s definition of prayer is in line with God’s request that we humble ourselves and pray. Prayer for me is my direct line of communication with God, where I seek God’s guidance and direction.

Oftentimes in prayer, I choose to echo Solomon, from the Bible request to God in prayer. In I Kings 3:9, Solomon asked of God, give therefore thy servant understanding (wisdom) heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad. In the Lord’s prayer, Jesus encourages us to pray that God’s will be done on earth as in heaven, so let us too consistently pray for God’s will to be done in Pine Bluff. In my view we should consistently pray that God would create in us daily a clean heart and renew a righteous spirit.
