The filing period for municipal (city) candidates begins Friday at 8 a.m. in the Jefferson County Clerk’s Office at the courthouse.
Among the offices that will be open this year are the mayor of Pine Bluff, one alderman’s position in each of the city’s four wards and Pine Bluff city treasurer.
The municipal elections will be held in conjunction with the 2012 general election Nov. 6.
