Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church of Pine Bluff will present the fifth annual Breast Cancer event in memory of Billie Jean “B.J.” Jackson.
This 2K walk/run will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Martin Luther King Jr. Park, 624 Kiwanis Drive.
Attendees can arrive wearing pink to support and celebrate survivors. The walk/run will include vendors, health screenings, breast self-exam demonstrations, prizes and giveaways, according to a news release.
The registration is $25, which includes a T-shirt. The deadline to register is Monday, Sept. 30. Proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
