MSU names local grads, honorees

Mississippi State University announced the local 2024 spring graduates and students on the President’s and Dean’s lists, according to a news release.

GRADUATES

Southeast Arkansas students among nearly 3,500 graduates include:

Ryan Ruff of Pine Bluff, receiving a Bachelor of Science Summa Cum Laude from MSU’s Bagley College of Engineering. (Ruff also was recognized as a Stephen D. Lee Scholar.)

Makaila Book of Lake Village receiving a Bachelor of Science Magna Cum Laude from MSU’s College of Education.

Charles Pieroni of Lake Village receiving a Master of Business Administration from MSU’s College of Business.

Jessaca Shepherd of Monticello receiving a Bachelor of Science from MSU’s College of Arts and Sciences.

Emily Earney of Stuttgart receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration Summa Cum Laude from MSU’s College of Business.

Shields Simpson of Stuttgart receiving a Bachelor of LandscapeArchitecture from MSU’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

PRESIDENT’S LIST

Students on the President’s List at Mississippi State achieved a 3.80 or better grade-point average, based on a 4.0 scale, while completing at least 12 semester hours of coursework with no incomplete grades or grades lower than a C.

DEAN’S LIST

Ethan Holzhauer of Gillett was named to the Mississippi State University spring 2024 Dean’s List. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must have achieved a grade-point average between 3.5 and 3.79, based on a 4.0 scale.
