Arkansas Tech University will be represented by five students in the 2025 Miss Arkansas scholarship competition, including two from southeast Arkansas. The event is scheduled for June 8-14 at the Robinson Center in Little Rock, according to a news release.
ATU contestants are Savannah Brown of Star City, Alli Beth King of Rison, Kenleigh Garner of Hot Springs, Kate Manuel of Green Forest and Sophie Puckett of Jonesboro.
Brown is Miss Mount Nebo and an ATU junior majoring in elementary education. Her talent is vocal performance. Brown’s community service initiative is “Early Detection Saves Lives: Breast Cancer Education.”
King is Miss Boomtown and a 2024 graduate of ATU with a degree in communication. Her talent is tap dance. King’s community service initiative is “It Starts With One.”
Garner is Miss Petit Jean Valley and an ATU senior majoring in communication. Her talent is contemporary dance. Garner’s community service initiative is “Empowering Voices for All.”

Manuel is Miss North Central Arkansas and a 2025 graduate of ATU with a degree in elementary education. Her talent is vocal performance. Manuel’s community service initiative is “Si Se Puede: Empowerment Through Education.”
Puckett is Miss Arkansas Tech University and an ATU junior majoring in biology pre-medicine. Her talent is tap dance. Puckett’s community service initiative is “H.O.P.E. – Helping Other People Everyday.”
