Forums will be held to help answer questions and to hear concerns from citizens about the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
The events are sponsored by the Arkansas Minority Health Commission, in partnership with the Arkansas Minority Health Consortium.
Area forums are scheduled:
• Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Allen Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Stuttgart.
• Sept. 18, Bethany Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 1923 S. Olive St., Pine Bluff.
“The commission has heard from our constituents that the benefits and even the implications of the ACA are not widely understood by grassroots citizens throughout the state,” said Idonia Trotter, executive director of the commission. “We want to educate Arkansans on the facts of the Affordable Care Act because whether you are a small business owner, family of four or single without children, the Affordable Care Act will impact you, your children, your business and communities. These educational forums will continue throughout the next year.”
