Several agencies have announced closures in observance of Memorial Day, Monday, May 29.
County, city, local agencies
• Jefferson County Courthouse and related offices and Pine Bluff City Hall and related offices were closed Friday, May 26, through Monday, May 29. City halls at White Hall and Altheimer are closed Monday.
• The Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas will be closed Saturday through Monday. (The center is normally closed Sundays and Mondays.) Regular business hours will resume at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
• Area Agency on Aging of Southeast Arkansas’ main office and the Strachota Senior Center will be closed Monday. Southeast Arkansas Transportation (SEAT) will run for cancer and dialysis patients only.

• Southeast Arkansas College is closed Monday. The college is closed Fridays and open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
• The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will be closed Monday.
• Waste Management is closed Monday.
• Liberty Utilities water company is closed Monday.
• The Commercial’s business offices will be closed Monday.
Federal, state offices
• Federal offices, U.S. Postal Service, financial institutions and state offices will be closed Monday.
