The volunteers’ No. 1 pick for manners and behavior is Mamacita, a lab mix, who is not quite 11/2 years old, but already has numerous excellent qualities. Besides being good with dogs and cats, she is house trained, crate trained up to 4-plus hours so far, very home respectful and quiet, not pushy but enjoys hugs and kisses. Mamacita is playful, friendly, great on a leash and very easy to train with a soft spoken “good girl” or “no.” She is a homebody and would love to live indoors with her people. She will sleep quietly on a cushion by your bed or on your bed if you wish. Mamacita is heartworm positive, but extremely healthy and young so treatment should go very well.
