The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men’s basketball team remained winless on the road after suffering its fourth defeat Saturday.
UAPB fell 92-64 to Incarnate Word at the McDermott Center in San Antonio.
UAPB (1-4) senior forward Klemen Vuga led both teams with 19 points while collecting six rebounds. Junior guard Christian Moore scored 15 points with five assists. The Golden Lions shot 42.9 percent from the field and made five 3-pointers.
Incarnate Word (3-1) shot 55.6 percent and made 11 of 28 3-point attempts. Five Cardinals scored 13 or more points apiece, led by senior forward Dylan Hayman’s 18. Senior point guard Jalin Anderson scored 13 points with 10 assists.
The Golden Lions hung with the Cardinals for a half. The teams traded the lead five times over the first 20 minutes, with Incarnate Word holding a narrow 39-36 halftime lead.
The Cardinals dominated the second half, outscoring UAPB 53-28 to remain undefeated at home.
UAPB will continue its weekend trip to Texas on Monday when the Golden Lions face Texas Tech in Lubbock.
