May, Phillips win Pine Bluff Country Club’s annual golf tournament

Chad May and Mark Phillips won the Pine Bluff Country Club’s Invitational Four-Ball last week. The two clinched the title by defeating Carlton Saffa and Ben McCaslin, 2 and 1.

The annual golf tournament featured eight two-man teams playing in a tournament format. Consolation brackets were available for those that did not get to the championship round.

Baseball great Torii Hunter and Jay Eubanks won the Big Shootout by defeating Dan Cook and Adam Osweiler in extra holes under the lights.

The complete results of the championship flight:

• First round – Saffa-McCaslin defeated Jackson May-Phisher Phillips; Tad Beene-Adam Eoff defeated Colin Pelton-Andrew Carroll; C. May-M. Phillips defeated Monte Woody-Craig Wynn; and William Jones-Ethan Harris defeated John Smykla-Michael Reynolds.

• First round loser’s bracket – J. May-P. Phillips defeated Pelton-Carroll; Smykla-Reynolds defeated Woody-Wynn. J. May-P. Phillips defeated Smykla-Reynolds for fourth place.

• Win-lose bracket – Jones-Harris defeated Beene-Eoff for third place.

• Lose-lose bracket – Woody-Wynn defeated Pelton-Carroll.

Other winners by flights included: First flight, Matt Gist-Blake Kasparian; second flight, Jeff Prestige-Mark Huffty; third flight, Kevin Bonnette-Kevin Hawkins; fourth flight, Jenning Stanley-Collin Cahill; fifth flight, Landon Leach-Alex Rowland; sixth flight, Lance Fairchild-Robbie Sherman; seventh flight, Doug Cahill-Chris Burford; eighth flight, Alex Smith-Adam Osweiler; ninth flight, Hunter-Eubanks; 10th flight, Jacque Jones-Stan Harris; and 11th flight, Matt Kemp-Brandon Dean.
