Jaela Martin did it all to lead Star City to a win in its softball opener on Monday.
The junior tossed a complete game three-hitter with 12 strikeouts while also going 3 for 5 at the plate in leading the Bulldogs to an 11-3 road victory over Watson Chapel.
Martin did not walk a batter and did not allow an earned run. She had two singles, a double and two RBI.
DeAnna Huckaby went 1 for 2 with two RBI and three stolen bases. Ravyn Ward had a pinch-hit two-run knock.
Star City (1-0) scored twice in the first and plated four runs in the third before Chapel (0-1) scored two runs in the third. A five-run fourth inning gave the Bulldogs some breathing room.
No Chapel player had more than one hit.
