The Jefferson County sheriff’s office is searching for a man who fled from the sally port/intake area of the W.C. “Dub” Brassell Detention Center.
Sheriff’s officials say Darius Shepard ran from the intake area and left the facility on foot. Authorities initiated search procedures, and law enforcement officers are working leads and conducting patrol operations in the area.
Anyone who sees Shepard or has information on his whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately. Individuals may also contact Sheriff’s Maj. Dennis Kendall at (870) 510-4707 with any information.
Authorities advise the public to not approach Shepard and to report any sighting to law enforcement immediately. Shepard was last seen wearing purple hospital scrubs.
