Man arrested on drugs, firearm allegation

A traffic stop resulted in a drug and firearm arrest after officers allegedly found marijuana and oxycodone in the car and a gun on the suspect.

Shomar Coleman was pulled over at about 6 p.m. Wednesday by Pine Bluff Police Department Lt. Denise Richardson at 2609 S. Main St., according to an affidavit from Detective Keith Wright.

Also allegedly found in the car were a clear bag containing suspected marijuana, a pill bottle containing eight suspected oxycodone pills, a digital scale with suspected marijuana residue on it and numerous sandwich bags. The total suspected marijuana found equaled 76.3 grams.

One of the detectives at the scene also allegedly found a revolver on Coleman.

A $25,000 bond was set for Coleman on Friday after the judge ruled that prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with possession of a controlled substance with propose to deliver-marijuana, possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver-oxycodone, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms and possession of drug paraphernalia.
