A Pine Bluff man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly pointed two kitchen knives at a police officer.
Pine Bluff Police Department Detective Marcia Oliver said in a probable cause affidavit that police had to use their tasers several times before they were able to subdue James Boston, 55.
According to the affidavit, Pine Bluff Police Officer Charles Clark had responded to an unknown trouble call at a house in the 3000 block of Missouri Street when Boston “came at Clark” with the two knives.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $2,500 bond for Boston after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with aggravated assault.
Boston was described as “mentally ill” and on medications.
