Man, 29, shot to death in PB late Tuesday

A 29-year-old man has died following a shooting in southern Pine Bluff on Tuesday, and police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man wanted in connection with the homicide.

The victim, identified as Jimmie Epperson, was pronounced dead at 615 S. Missouri St. by Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Teddy Spivey, according to a news release.

Pine Bluff Police said officers responded to the scene at about 9:05 p.m. and located Epperson, who was unresponsive and lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police are actively searching for Thomaz Johnson, who is wanted in connection with the homicide, according to the department’s Facebook page. Johnson, 25, is 5 feet, 10 inches, and 160 pounds. His last known address was in the 2300 block of Belair Drive, according to the Facebook post.
