Robin Franklin tosses her son Keenon McBryde, 7, into the air so he can flip into the water Monday as they played with the rest of their family at Lake Langhofer off Regional Park. Franklin said they were there to beat the summer heat and that although there are a lot of options for pool-swimming in the area that they had been taking advantage of this summer as well, she grew up swimming in lakes and experiencing nature and wants her kids to have the same childhood memories.
