The Pine Bluff High School class of 1954 Lunch Bunch traveled to Altheimer to Freeman’s Country Store in November.
The group enjoyed fish, hamburgers, taco salads and omelets. Those in the group were Freda Montgomery Council from Little Rock, Loretta Culp, Barbara Fels, Janice Goodman, Suzanne Hulse, Rosalyn Jones, Maxine Malone, Barbara Payne, Carole Smith, Phoebe Sparhler, Hilda Stafford and Barbara Voris, all of Pine Bluff. Claudette Lewis Flynn and Louise Navaar of Texas, who is Jones’ sister, also joined the group.
There was a special guest, Karlyn Smith Spencer of Nashville, Tenn., who started the Lunch Bunch more than 10 years ago. The group was happy that she was able to come, according to a spokesman.
In October the group ate at Terry’s Restaurant on West Second Ave. Everyone enjoyed the buffet of fish or hamburger steak. Peach cobbler was the dessert.
Those attending were Helen Crossett Atchison, Culp, Fels, Goodman, Hulse, Jones, Malone, Payne, Stafford, Voris and Shirley B. Massengale Langley. Special guest was Navaar.
