LSU Eunice defeats SAU Tech in Classic

CAMDEN — The Lady Rocket JUCO Classic, held Nov. 7-8, concluded with a hard-fought championship game, where the Southern Arkansas University Tech team ultimately fell to Louisiana State University at Eunice with a final score of 46-67. Despite a strong effort, SAU was unable to maintain the momentum into the final quarter, allowing LSU Eunice to pull away for the victory.

Several standout performances led the Rockets. Freshman guard Hannah Wilson put up 11 points, along with 4 assists, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals, showcasing her impact on both ends of the court. Freshman forward Marniyah Willis, standing at 6 feet tall, dominated the glass, recording 8 points and a team-high 10 rebounds. Willis also contributed defensively with 4 steals and 3 assists.
