Several Southeast Arkansas residents are among 26 candidates for the 2016 homecoming queen at Henderson State University at Arkadelphia.
Area candidates include April Gaston, a senior marketing major from Sparkman; Carolyn “Josie” Kelley, a junior biochemistry major from Monticello; McKenzie Crosby, a junior fashion merchandising major from Sheridan; Elizabeth Denny, a senior family and consumer science education major from White Hall; and Meghan Morphis, a senior sociology major from Lake Village.
Ten finalists will be announced Thursday, Oct. 27, during the annual homecoming pep rally. The court will be introduced and the queen crowned during football pre-game festivities Saturday, Oct. 29, when the HSU Reddies host the Oklahoma Baptist University Bison.
