The Jefferson County local chapter of AARP will meet from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9 at the Area Agency on Aging of Southeast Arkansas, 801 E. Eighth Ave.
The speaker will be Brenda Brown, ombudsman state-certified instructor.
Light refreshments will be served. The public is invited to attend.
